Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful for the day hubby and I had yesterday with our youngest, he is our last and so thankful for every min. because time goes by way to fast. My oldest will be a senior and middle son in 8th grade and seems like yesterday was going on field trips with them. So I'm thanking God for every precious moment he gives my husband and I with them.

Zoo with youngets sons Kindergarten class

Well there they are. They had such a good time even though it was hot and humid. Was an enjoyable day. I love the one where the picture is of there backs and there by the big polar bear tank. The on where they sitting in the bubble if you look in the bubble you see the diver who was cleaning one of the manatee tanks.

After a day at the zoo last night a had to teach our Wednesday night children's class at church so I was wore out and slept like a baby last night lol

The Talking Centipede

The Talking Centipede

A
single guy decided life would be more fun
if
he had a pet.

So he
went to the pet store
and
told the owner
that
he wanted to buy an unusual pet.

After
some discussion,
he
finally bought a talking centipede,
(100-legged
bug),
which
came in a little white box
to
use for his house.

He
took the box back home,
found
a good spot for the box,
and
decided he would start off
by
taking his new pet
to
church with him.

So he
asked the centipede in the box,
"Would
you like to go
to
church with me today?
We
will have a good time."

But
there was no answer
from
his new pet.

This
bothered him a bit,
but
he waited a few minutes
and
then asked again,
"How about
going
to
church with me
and
receive blessings?"

But
again,
there
was no answer
from
his new friend and pet.
So
he waited
a
few minutes more,
thinking
about the situation.

The
guy decided
to
invite the centipede
one
last time.

This
time
he
put his face up against
the
centipede's house and shouted,
"Hey, in
there!
Would
you like to go
to
church with me
and
learn about God?"
...
YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE THIS ....

This
time,
a
little voice
came
out of the box,
"I
heard you the first time!

I'm putting on my shoes!"

Thankful Thursday

Well the Lord took home a friend of ours grandmother. She was such a sweet lady. She had cancer for 7 years, this past year she started coming to church and had gotten saved. Praise God! Well she is our friends step grandmother, and her side of the family they were not living right and had a lot of problems. Well in the last two months some of her kids started coming to church and grand kids, and in last two months 5 of them were saved!! She wanted to be baptized this past Sunday well she had gotten down bad and they were given her days to live, so she was baptized one day last week instead. She was unable to come to church Sunday they said she could go at anytime. Well Sunday morning the whole family was there and we had nine people baptized, and 4 of them were here family!! They filmed it and took it back home for her to see. She was really out of it but woke up to watch that, and what was most Beautiful, is her husband was saved that evening also, she held his face and he held hers and told her gave his life to God!!!! She passed away Tuesday morning around 10.45. We believe she held on to see her family baptized and her husband saved.

Isn't it amazing how God uses a very sad time for a family, but also gives them joy through it. She passed knowing her family she will see again in heaven.

So what I'm thankful this Thursday is one that this past year I got to know such a dear sweet woman, and for the lives that were saved because of her and that God kept her alive long enough to see it all!!!!

Mona we loved you and you will be missed!

He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces. Isaiah 25:8

Old Jack

Old Jack

One day a woman was walking down the street when she spied a beggar sitting in the corner. The man was elderly, unshaven, and ragged. As he sat there, pedestrians walked by him giving him dirty looks. They clearly wanted nothing to do with him because of who he was ~ a dirty, homeless man. But when she saw him, the woman was moved to compassion.
It was very cold that day and the man had his tattered coat ~ more like an old suit coat rather than a warm coat ~ wrapped around him. She stopped and looked down. "Sir?" she asked. "Are you all right?"
The man slowly looked up. This was a woman clearly accustomed to the finer things of life. Her coat was new. She looked like she had never missed a meal in her life. His first thought was that she wanted to make fun of him, like so many others had done before. "Leave me alone," he growled.
To his amazement, the woman continued standing. She was smiling ~ her even white teeth displayed in dazzling rows. "Are you hungry?" she asked.
"No," he answered sarcastically. "I've just come from dining with the president. Now go away."
The woman's smile became even broader. Suddenly the man felt a gentle hand under his arm. "What are you doing, lady?" the man asked angrily. "I said to leave me alone."
Just then a policeman came up. "Is there any problem, ma'am?" he asked.
"No problem here, officer," the woman answered. "I'm just trying to get this man to his feet. Will you help me?"
The officer scratched his head. "That's old Jack. He's been a fixture around here for a couple of years. What do you want with him?"
"See that cafeteria over there?" she asked. "I'm going to get him something to eat and get him out of the cold for awhile."
"Are you crazy, lady?" the homeless man resisted. "I don't want to go in there!" Then he felt strong hands grab his other arm and lift him up. "Let me go, officer. I didn't do anything."
"This is a good deal for you, Jack," the officer answered. "Don't blow it."
Finally, and with some difficulty, the woman and the police officer got Jack into the cafeteria and sat him at a table in a remote corner. It was the middle of the morning, so most of the breakfast crowd had already left and the lunch bunch had not yet arrived. The manager strode across the cafeteria and stood by the table. "What's going on here, officer?" he asked. "What is all this. Is this man in trouble?"
"This lady brought this man in here to be fed," the policeman answered.
"Not in here!" the manager replied angrily. "Having a person like that here is bad for business."
Old Jack smiled a toothless grin. "See, lady. I told you so. Now if you'll let me go. I didn't want to come here in the first place."
The woman turned to the cafeteria manager and smiled. "Sir, are you familiar with Eddy and Associates, the banking firm down the street?"
"Of course I am," the manager answered impatiently. "They hold their weekly meetings in one of my banquet rooms."
"And do you make a goodly amount of money providing food at these weekly meetings?"
"What business is that of yours?"
"I, sir, am Penelope Eddy, president and CEO of the company."
"Oh."
The woman smiled again. "I thought that might make a difference." She glanced at the cop who was busy stifling a giggle. "Would you like to join us in a cup of coffee and a meal, officer?"
"No thanks, ma'am," the officer replied. "I'm on duty."
"Then, perhaps, a cup of coffee to go?"
"Yes, ma'am. That would be very nice."
The cafeteria manager turned on his heel. "I'll get your coffee for you right away, officer."
The officer watched him walk away. "You certainly put him in his place," he said.
"That was not my intent. Believe it or not, I have a reason for all this."

She sat down at the table across from her amazed dinner guest. She stared at him intently. "Jack, do you remember me?"
Old Jack searched her face with his old, rheumy eyes "I think so ~ I mean you do look familiar."
"I'm a little older perhaps," she said. "Maybe I've even filled out more than in my younger days when you worked here, and I came through that very door, cold and hungry."
"Ma'am?" the officer said questioningly. He couldn't believe that such a magnificently turned out woman could ever have been hungry.
"I was just out of college," the woman began. "I had come to the city looking for a job, but I couldn't find anything. Finally I was down to my last few cents and had been kicked out of my apartment. I walked the streets for days. It was February and I was cold and nearly starving. I saw this place and walked in on the off chance that I could get something to eat."
Jack lit up with a smile. "Now I remember," he said. "I was behind the serving counter. You came up and asked me if you could work for something to eat. I said that it was against company policy."
"I know," the woman continued. "Then you made me the biggest roast beef sandwich that I had ever seen, gave me a cup of coffee, and told me to go over to a corner table and enjoy it. I was afraid that you would get into trouble. Then, when I looked over, I saw you put the price of my food in the cash register. I knew then that everything would be all right."
"So you started your own business?" Old Jack said.
"I got a job that very afternoon. I worked my way up. Eventually I started my own business that, with the help of God, prospered." She opened her purse and pulled out a business card. "When you are finished here, I want you to pay a visit to a Mr. Lyons. He's the personnel director of my company. I'll go talk to him now and I'm certain he'll find something for you to do around the office." She smiled. "I think he might even find the funds to give you a little
advance so that you can buy some clothes and get a place to live until you get on your feet. And if you ever need anything, my door is always opened to you."
There were tears in the old man's eyes. "How can I ever thank you," he said.
"Don't thank me," the woman answered. "To God goes the glory. Thank Jesus. He led me to you."
Outside the cafeteria, the officer and the woman paused at the entrance before going their separate ways. "Thank you for all your help, officer," she said.
"On the contrary, Ms. Eddy," he answered. "Thank you. I saw a miracle today, something that I will never forget. And... And thank you for the coffee."
She frowned. "I forgot to ask you whether you used crème or sugar. That's black."
The officer looked at the steaming cup of coffee in his hand. "Yes, I do take crèam and sugar ~ perhaps more sugar than is good for me." He patted his ample stomach.
"I'm sorry," she said.
"I don't need it now," he replied smiling. "I've got the feeling that this coffee you bought me is going to taste as sweet as sugar."

If you have missed knowing me, you have missed nothing.
If you have missed some of my emails, you have missed a laugh.
But, if you have missed knowing my LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, you have missed everything in the world.

Nothing Like The Power Of Prayer

Prayer need for a dear family that we are very close to. The step mother/grandmother has cancer and over this last month has really went down hill. She was going to be baptized this coming Sunday, but due to her body shutting down they took her up to the church yesterday afternoon and she was Baptized, Praise God. Two weeks ago they said she has days to live up to two weeks. So if you could remember her and her family in your prayers they really need it right now. Since she has had the cancer she has gotten saved, and with in the last 4 weeks 4 family members on her side who really needed it were saved and been in church every week. Its amazing how God uses what we consider to be so painful in watching a person you love go down hill, but then because of it she has lead her family to the Lord. What a sweet meeting in heaven with her Father will she will be having!!!!

Here name is Mona.

Hopeful Heart Day 9 ' No Complaints'

Do everything without complaining or arguing. Then you will be innocent and without any wrong
Philippians 2:14-15
Because we are imperfect human beings, we often lose sight of our blessings. Ironically, most of us have more blessings then we can count, but we may still find reason to complain about the minor frustrations of everyday life. To do so, of course, is not only wrong:it is also the pinnacle of shortsightedness and a serious roadblock on the path to spiritual abundance.
Are you tempted to complain about the inevitable minor frustrations of everyday living? Don't do it! Today and every day, make it a practice to count your blessings, not your hardships. It's the truly decent way to live.
-----------------------------
Thanksgiving or complaining--these words express two contrastive attitudes of the souls of God's children in regard to His dealings with them. The soul that gives thanks can find comfort in everything" the soul that complains can find comfort in nothing.
Hannah Whitall Smith
He wants us to have Faith that does not complain while waiting, but rejoice because we know our times are in His hands- nail scarred hands that labor for our highest good.

Thankful Thursday

Well its Mothers Day weekend so being a proud mother of three handsome boys they are what I'm so thankful for! Let me introduce you to my 3

This is my oldest Chris he just turned 17 April 2nd. He is with his girlfriend in picture but its most recent picture of him. He is my sports crazy son. I'm so proud of him and the choices he makes in his life so far. He plays football and is very popular. He is very out going friendly young man. He tells me about his friends that drink and do drugs and why some he dont hang around with outside of school is because of that and when they ask why he doesnt he tells them he dont wanna be around the things they do. And what makes me so proud is his friends know not to even offer it to him because he stand in who he is and what he believes in. He is the kid who his friends go to with problems, and need advice and he tells them like it is. He led a girl to God over the phone who was talking about taking her life. She got into a church near her, Isn't that awesome!

This is my 13 year old Austin. He is my performer. This kid has such a caring heart, hates seeing people hurt. He has a love for music. He always been banging on something, playing his guitar, singing, writing songs if its music he loves it. I pray that he will one day us that talent to spread Gods word in Christian music.

Now this is my little Guy Michael who is six. He loves church. Playing WII with daddy. Being outside. He is very shy, until he gets to know you, he is alot like his daddy when it comes to that. He likes singing with me when I'm practicing my song for church. He is my little sweet heart.

Well hope you enjoyed meeting my boys, they are my little blessing, though they are growing up they will always be my three little boys.

They are what I'm so Thankful for!

WFW

Since its Mother's Day this weekend, I'm sharing a verse with my moms picture.

Mom's are one of God's greatest gifts.

A Mother's Love

There are times when only a mother's love Can understand our tears, Can soothe our disappoints And calm all of our fears.
There are times when only a mother's love Can share the joy we feel When something we've dreamed about Quite suddenly is real.
There are times when only a mother's faith Can help us on life's way And inspire in us the confidence We need from day to day.
For a mother's heart and a mother's faith And a mother's steadfast love Were fashioned by the angels And sent from God above.

Hopeful Heart Day 8 "A Love That Changes Everything"

Your old life is dead. Your new life, which is your real life-even though invisible to spectators-is with Christ in God. He is your LIFE.
Colossians 3:3
What does the love Christ mean to His believers? It changes everything. His love is perfect and steadfast. Even though we are fallible, and wayward, the Good Shepherd cares for us still. Even though we have fallen far short of the Father's commandments, Christ loves us with a power and depth that is beyond our understanding. And, as we accept Christ's love and walk in Christ's footsteps, our lives bear testimony to His power and to His grace. Yes. Christ love changes everything ; may we invite Him into our hearts so it can then change everything in us.
------------------------
The hard place in which you perhaps find yourself is the very place in which God is giving you opportunity to look only to Him, to send time in prayer, and to learn long-suffering, gentleness, meekness-in short, to learn the depths of the love that Christ Himself has poured out on all of us
Elisabeth Elliot
Our hearts have been made to cry out for a love that can come only from our Creator.

Hopeful Hearts Day 7 " Claiming The Joy"

A Cheerful heart has a continual feast.
Proverbs 15:15
On some days, as every woman knows, it's hard to be cheerful. Sometimes, as the demands of the world increase and our energy sags, we feel less like "cheering up" and more like "tearing up". But even in our darkest hours, we can turn to God, and he will give us comfort.
Few thing in life are more sad, or, for that matter, more absurd, than a grumpy Christian. Christ promises us lives of abundance and joy, but he does not force His joy upon us. We must claim His joy for ourselves, and when we do, Jesus in turn fills our spirits with His power and His love.
When we place Jesus at the center of our lives and trust Him as our personal Savior, He will transform us, not just for today, but for all eternity. Then we as Gods children, can share Christ's joy and His message with the world that needs both.
-------------------------------
God is Good, and Heaven is forever. And if those two facts don't cheer you up, nothing will.
Marie T. Freeman
Joy lifts our spirit above earth's sorrow, dancing in jubilation at the hope set before us.

Hope yall enjoy it as much as I do!

Hopeful Heart Day 6 "What Dosent Change"

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday amd today and forever.
Hebrews 13:8
Our world is in a state of constant change. Gos is not. At times, the world seems to be trembling beneath our feet. But we can be comforted in the knowledge that our heavenly Father is the rock that cannot be shaken. His Word promises, " I am the Lord, I do not change"(Malachi 3:16)
Everyday that we live, we mortals encounter a multitude of changes- some good , some not so good, some downright disheartening. On other occasions when we musy endure life-changing personal losses that leave us breathless, there is a place we can turn for comfort and assurance-we can turn to God. When we do, our loving Heavenly Father stands ready to protect us to comfort us, to guide us, and,in time, to heal us.
=========================
One of the greatest ways God changes me is by bringing Scripture to mind that I have hidden deep in my heart. And, He always picks the right Scripture at the right time.
Evelyn Christianson
Conditions are always changing: therefore, I must not be dependent upon conditions. What matters supremely is my soul and my relationship to God.
Corrie ten Boom
