Hopeful Heart Day5 "Optimism Now!"

And now, dear brothers and sisters, let me say one more thing as I close this letter. Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
Philippians 4:18
As Christian woman, we have every reason to rejoice. God is in Heaven: Christ has risen, and we are the sheep of his flock. But, when the demands of life seem great and our resources seem small by comparison, we may find ourselves exhausted, discouraged, or both.
Whats your attitude today? Are you fearful, angry, or worried. Are you confused, bitter, or pessimistic? If so , God wants to have a little chat with you.
God wants you to experience His joy and abundance. But, God will not force His joy upon you; you must claim it for yourself. So today, and every day thereafter, celebrate this life that God has given you. Think optimistically about yourself and your future. Give thanks to the One who has given you everything, and trust in your heart that He wants to give you so much more.

Developing a positive attitude means working continually to find what is uplifting and encouraging.

Hopeful Heart Day4 New Beginnings

Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing.
Isaiah 43:18-19
Each new day offers countless opportunities to serve God, to seek, His will , and to obey His teachings. But each day also offers countless opportunities to stray from God's commandments and to wander far from His path.
Sometimes, we wander aimlessly in a wilderness of our own making, but God has better plans for us. And, whenever we ask Him to renew our strength and guide our steps, He does so.
Consider this day a new beginning. Consider it a fresh start, a renewed opportunity to serve your Creator with willing hands and a loving heart. Ask God to renew your sense of purpose as He guides your steps. Today is a glorious opportunity to serve your Father in Heaven. Seize that opportunity while you can: tomorrow may indeed be to late.

Hopeful Heart Day 3 ~The Importance of Prayer~

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, make your request be know to God.
Philippians 4:6
Prayer is a powerful tool for communicating with our Creator: it is an opportunity to commune with the Giver of all things good. Prayer is not a thing to be taken lightly or to be used infrequently. Prayer should never be reserved for mealtime or for bedtimes:it should be an ever-present focus in our daily lives.
Daily prayer and meditation is a matter of will and habit. You must willingly organize your time by carving out quiet moments with God, and you must form the habit of daily worship. When you do, you'll discover that no time is more precious than the silent moments you spend with your Heavenly Father.
----------------------------------
We must pray literally without ceasing, in every occurrence and employment of our lives. You know I mean that prayer of the heart which is independent of place or situation, or which is, rather, a habit of lifting up the heart to God, as in a constant communication with Him.

Hopeful Heart Day 2 The Power Of Faith

The Power of Faith
Have Faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld.
2Chronicles 20:20
Every life~including yours~is a series of successes and failures, celebrations and disappointments, joys and sorrows. Every step of the way, through every triumph and tragedy. God will stand by your side and strengthen you.... if you have faith in Him. Jesus taught His disciples that if they had faith, they could move mountains. You can too.
When you place your faith, your trust, indeed your life in the hands of Christ Jesus, you'll be amazed at the marvelous, things He can do you and through you. So strengthen your faith through praise, through worship, through bible study, and through prayer. And trust Gods plans. With him ALL things are possible and He stands ready to open a world of possibilities to you.... if you have faith.
---------------------------------------------
Faith never wonders why.
Amy Carmichael
Faith is an act of will, a choice, based on the unbreakable, Word of God who cannot lie, and who showed what love and obedience and the sacrifice mean, through Jesus Christ.

Hopeful Heart Day 1

Starting a 365 day Spirit Lifting Devotionals for woman.
From the book "Hopeful Heart".
I will share each day the devotionals so please stop
in each day and read and Rediscover
Hope Day by Day!
Hope for today, Hope for Tomorrow
This Hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast.
Hebrews 6:19
As every woman knows, hope is a perishable commodity. Despite God's promises, despite Christ's love, and despite our countless blessings, we frail human beings can still lose hope from time to time. When we do, we need the encouragement of Christian friends, the life-changing power of prayer, and the healing truth of God's holy word.
If we find ourselves falling into the spiritual traps of worry and discouragement, we should see the healing touch of Jesus and the encouraging words of fellow Christians. Even though this world can be a place of trials and struggles. God has promised us peace, joy, and eternal life if we give ourselves to Him.
Hope looks for the good in people, opens doors for people, discovers what can be done to help, lights a candle, does not yield to cynicism. Hope sets people free.
Barbara Johnson

Fruitful Fridays and Fearless Fridays

So how Fruitful were you this week?

This is where we can share how we reach out to others through the week showing Gods love. So please share what you may have done this week to show our Fathers love to others. Then post your link in below so we can all read how fruitful we have been an get ideals that we can do for the next week. Just think how many people we can touch!!!
/strong>

I'm going to share a couple things I have done over last two weeks.

We just moved my mom into apartment we found her. Well she was really wore down from moving, her TV and phone wouldn't be turned on for couple days, so after getting everything moved in she headed to her sister to stay couple days till her stuff was on. Well me hubby and our boys headed up to her new apartment again, (I have key) and we unpacked everything put everything up and cleaned. So she had nothing to do when she went back. Needless to say she was shocked and so happy that was all taken care of and the worry of all that work was a worry no longer.

The other thing is we had went out to dinner one night and the table next to us got up from dinner and didn't leave the waitress a tip! ( which really bugs me when people do this) So I asked my waitress to please ask her to come to our table, and we gave her a tip. She was shocked, she was like oh no you don't have to do that. Told her we wanted to, and to spread the kindness to someone else, and just showing Gods love. She was so thankful and came back and said I wish more people where like you.

Its such a blessing to show love and kindness to others. The blessing we get from doing this is better than anything. In today's world its so needed, so people see that there is good in the world and its Gods love that goes above all things and as Christians its are duty to share it so others can see it.

Fearless Friday!!

Have to let you all know, you have joined me in prayer because my mom moved in with us and our house is small to add another person. Well instead of us finding a home for us all right now. We found my mom a really nice place that's for seniors. Its not a nursing home or anything like that but community where you have to be 55 or older to live. Its really nice and she loves it. Praise God for answered prayers. That is such a worry that was lifted off me and her. She is close to me and we both have our space. Thank you all that joined me in prayer of this. Isn't awesome when we see God moving from our prayers?

I could use some prayers for my Aunt Juanita. She has been in hospital for about a week with Pneumonia. I thought she was coming home, well just found out they are keeping her till next Monday or Tuesday. She still has the Pneumonia and also Pleurisy (Im not sure thats correct spelling for what it is), and some infection around her lungs. So if you could be praying for healing over her.

Thankful Thursday~~~~ Come join in on Fruitful Fridays also!

What I'm thankful for this week is, my husband got his xrays back of his lungs and all is good Praise God!!!! You see we have been trying to get my husband to stop smoking for a couple years and he has tried, but only for a day maybe two. Well you know for those two days he was a bit grouchy. Well he has finally laid them down and this coming Sunday will be 5 WEEKS!!!!! Since he has had one.

Well after a week of not smoking he started coughing up black. He didnt not share this with me untill just last week. Well I told him to make appointment to see dr. and mean while I looked up online to see if I could see what caused it and alot of what I found had to do with smockers and when they stop smoking they are coughing up tare out of thier lungs which is good they are clean them out. Well he tells me the Dr. wants to see him ASAP. Well I started to worry but not letting him know that I was because I didnt want him to. Well they wanted him to go get the xray after listening to his lungs. They called yesterday and said all is good. So I'm soooo thankful to my Father in heaven for his hand up on my husband and giving him the strength and will power to finally give them up and that he is healthy.
Thankful also for my healthy and for the good health of my 3 boys.

Motivate Me Monday

Fifth Street Palace

The post that Sarah did so reminded me of this article.

Guard Your Marriage with Affair-Proof HedgesNancy C. Anderson

What are hedges? Hedges are boundaries. In Mark 12:1 Jesus said, “A man planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it.” First, the man planted a vineyard. Think of your marriage as a vineyard. You “planted” it the day you said, I do. Next, the man in the parable placed a hedge around his vineyard. Why? Several reasons: to protect it from intrusion by animals and thieves; to keep his vines inside his vineyard; and to separate his territory from his neighbors.A hedge makes the statement, “Private Property, No Trespassing.” The symbolic hedges around our marriages serve the same purposes. As a married couple, your goal, as co-owners of your vineyard, is to keep the good things in—and the bad things out. These HEDGES consist of simple principles that will protect your marriage from external invaders and internal discontent. They are all action words:Hearing: Listening and speaking with patience and understanding;Encouraging: Helping each other in thought, word, and deed;Dating: Keeping it fresh and fun. Build a life that celebrates marriage;Guarding: Agreeing on your boundaries—and enforcing them;Educating: Becoming an expert on your mate;Satisfying: Meeting each other’s needs.Planting the HedgesGardeners know that maintaining a hedge is an ongoing task. But first, you’ve got to plant the hedge. And any gardener will tell you that when planting something, one of the most important considerations is the condition of the soil.Assuming that Christ is the soil of your marriage, all the hedges, in order to grow to maturity, must be planted in Him. If you’re married to a non-Christian, your hedges and your hearts may be divided, creating conflict about the location of boundaries for your marriage as well as large gaps in those boundaries. You’ll need to be willing to find creative ways to maintain your Christian “soil” without discounting your mate’s needs.Another important consideration as you plant your hedges is positioning them with room to grow. Last year my husband, Ron, and I hired a “landscape architect” (who charges twice as much as a gardener) to redesign our front yard. It hadn’t been updated since the 1970s. So, after he yanked everything out, he planted some scrawny hedges. (Actually, his crew did the work; he just talked on his cell phone and drank iced mochas). The hedges were supposed to act as a fence to keep stray dogs and children off our lawn, but they were about three feet apart.I asked him, “How can those puny things give us any protection?”He looked at me as if I was challenging his expertise, and with a condescending tone said, “Trust me; I know what I’m doing. If I plant them any closer, they’d fight for the same sun and water; they’d crowd each other out. They’d all die. They gotta have room to grow.”The same principle applies to your marriage hedges. Plant them with the knowledge that they will grow, change, and fill-in as your marriage matures.Watering the HedgesWe’re all responsible for watering our hedges. But to have enough water to offer our marriages, we must have our own reservoir to draw from.Spiritual WaterThe most important kind of water is Spiritual water, which we get from our relationship with the Lord, who is the Living Water (John 4:10–15). Over the years, Ron and I have read several devotional books together, and it’s vital to have a time to read the Bible and pray as a couple. But don’t neglect your own, personal relationship with the Lord.In addition to regular church attendance with my family, I’m reading the One-Year Bible on my own, and Ron is listening to a series of Christian teaching tapes in his car. We often share with each other the new things we’ve learned. Sometimes he tells me a story or gives me an example from one of the tapes, and he likes to hear about my new insights as well.In seeking spiritual water, let the Lord direct you. Ask Him to show you how to build your marriage into a strong reservoir full of deep Living Water.Intellectual WaterThe second way to water your relationship is with intellectual water: new information. Ron and I have many diverse interests and, while we do most of our activities together, we each have a few things we do alone. I’m a member of Toastmaster International, a wonderful group that trains public speakers, and I attend the weekly meeting at 6:30 A.M. so I don’t cut into family time. When I come home, Ron usually asks, “How’d it go? Did you win any more ribbons?” Or “What were the speeches about?”Ron plays basketball every Saturday morning with a group of men at a local college. When he gets home, I usually ask, “How did you play? Did you learn any new moves?” With my encouragement, he’ll talk for twenty minutes and give a play-by-play description of the game. We both try to have new information to tell each other every day. But it wasn’t always that way. When Nick was a toddler, I was at home most of the time and my days were so repetitive that I felt like I lived in the Bill Murray movie Ground Hog Day. I knew that Ron liked me to talk about something other than how many socks the dryer ate and how hard it is to get spaghetti sauce stains out of Tupperware. So I made it a point to have something new to tell him every day. I started reading the newspaper so we could talk about current events and joined a “Mommy and Me” class so I’d have stories from the “outside.” In the process of these new activities, I formed new interests and he looked forward to hearing what I had to say—and so did I.Safely inside the HedgesWhen we talk with couples who are having marriage troubles, one of them usually says, “I’m bored—our marriage just isn’t very exciting anymore. All we ever do is talk about the kids and bills and watch TV. I know everything my spouse is going to say before he [or she] says it. We’re in a deep, predictable rut. I need some excitement!”Can you guess where they go to get their thrills? Yep, outside the hedges. That’s why it’s important to have some outside interests to talk about. Have your own “well” of experience to draw from. Keep your relationship watered with new information—both spiritual insights and unique, interesting activities.A marriage that is well watered will have deep roots and will withstand the storms of life. If your relationship is in a drought, however, and its roots are weak and shallow, then the wind and erosion—life’s problems—will damage and eventually destroy your marriage. So keep your hearts safely inside your strong, healthy hedges."Above all else, guard your heart, for it affects everything you do." Proverbs 4:23
