Tuesday Toot

Well I finally stepped up Sunday evening at church. Step up to what you ask? Singing a solo!!!! Oh let me tell you God has really had singing on my heart again. I use to sing 10 years ago, then I went through a very tough divorce and was out of church for a couple years. Then I met my husband now and we started looking for a church and found one we liked and I sang with praise team there never a solo, and was never lead to do so. Well are church closed its doors and after looking and searching we found the church we are at now. This is the church we are meant to be. this is where God is wanting us. I have seen him so much in my life here as well as my family. I have been in my word more and spending more alone time with God. I feel so close to him, and just want more.
Well a couple weeks ago, they were preaching on, how we hold back from the gifts God has given us, for what ever reason. Well God had been dealing with me this again. This is where I should be singing, so I joined the Choir, all is good I'm singing. Nope he wants more.
Well this past Sunday after Church I was practicing a song to do, then all of a sudden God brings to mind a song I use to do, and I'm like Lord I don't have the words or music to this no way I can do this song. Well I started singing it and remembering the words while at home, and Hubby sayes sounds really good. So I though ok I will do it tonight. Well on the way to church I'm forgetting the words, I feel sick, blood pressure going up lol I tell ya I was a mess. Talked to a couple people and they said tell Pastor you have a song to do, or they would lol. Well I told him. He called my name to come up and I did the song without the words and music. and never stumbled!!!!!! God is Good!!! Everyone said it sound great and how good it sounded with out the music. God just really showed me if I put my trust in him he will bring me through. So this is my first step back into singing solos again.
I'm so excited to see him move through this with me.
All my Praise and Worship are for him!
Thank you Lord!

Hubby's Birthday today!

Today is my man's birthday, taking him to dinner and out to get a scanner he wants.
God sure has blessed me with a wonderful husband. I'm so thankful.
Happy Birthday Baby!
This week has been a busy one. Added to that we had storms roll in this week. Now I love a good thunderstorm but hate high winds, and the winds were bad. Thank God we didn't have anything destroyed or messed up because of them. My prayers go out to all those that lost their homes.
So happy the weekend is here love time when we all together. So looking forward to a great weekend.
Hope everyone has had a wonderful week and you also get to enjoy a great weekend with your family's

Here is the Recipe Ladies for:

Baked Balsamic Vinaigrette Chicken Breast, Roasted Garlic and Herb red Potato's, corn

All I do is take Chicken Breast (you can use thighs, legs ect.) and a bottle of Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing and marinade it for like two hours then stick in oven (without draining the dressing off) and bake till chicken is no long pink inside, times may very according to size of chicken. I cook it for 45 in on 400 and little long if needed. Comes out very tender.

For potatoes, I use a 5lb bag of Red Potato's cut up, and two packs of Roasted Garlic and Herb dry dressing mix in the packs.
Then I drizzle Extra Virgin Olive Oil over them.
Bake them till tender.
(I make a lot of these because my three boys and hubby kill them lol)

Corn came out of can, added butted salt and pepper
Pretty easy huh? lol

Let me know if any of you make it.

Its Monday!

Another Monday is here. The weekend was pretty nice. Friday evening Chris and Austin went with my dad and stayed with him, to help him get some painting done. Me Mike and Michael went out my moms for dinner, she made chilli it was yummy. I cleaned her house for her. We hung out there for a while after. Saturday we had to get some grocery shopping don, our taxes we got taken care of. Then that night we sat down and was figuring out things we would be doing on our up coming vacation in June. Planning activity's we all want to do and things we need to purchase by then. I really enjoyed that because I cant wait to get away for a while. Sunday was another wonderful day at church. We went to Sunday school for the first time kids enjoyed it. So we will do it from now on, then Sunday evening Mike and I go back and it was so good. There is such a great felling when you are in a church that you feel God put you in, and you feel him moving every time your there. I'm so blessed. Mikes Birthday is Friday so me and kids will be taking him out for dinner, so that will be nice.
Have a wonderful day!

Wanting to be like others and what others have.

25 There arose therefore a questioning on the part of John's disciples with a Jew about purifying. 26 And they came unto John, and said to him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond the Jordan, to whom thou hast borne witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him. 27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it have been given him from heaven.
John 3:25-27
Do you see it in these verses? When reading over this what stand out is, how others try to make John jealous or angry because he was the man so to speak, and then Jesus came along and now everyone was going to him to be Baptized; love Johns response to them:
27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it have been given him from heaven
Now many of us today, would have been angry or jealous. Like who does he think he is? This is what I do people come to me, and now they all want to go to him? Satan loves pushing our bottons in this area. To want to be others, it could be the way a person looks, wanting to be beautiful, what WE consider Beautiful, jealous of the woman with the long beautiful hair perfect body, or the woman that we think has it all together and is great at be a mother and wife, or even the woman in our church who we think knows everything about the word of God and she is perfect in her walk and everyone loves her in the church. I know we have all been there before.
I then wonder how do you think God feels, when we are not happy with what he created? It has to sadden . He made each of us and we are all different. We should be happy with who we are, how we look, the gifts he has given us. Are those we think have it all together, really happy? What may they be dealing with in there life. Could be far worse then anything you have excperenced, so be thankful for who you are, because it was the Fathers hands that formed you.
All he wants is a relationship with us. For your hearts to hunger for him. For us to crave to want to be more like him, and when we do this and focus on him and not others, the change in us will come.
Do you know of a time you have wanted to be like someone else? To look like them? To have gifts like thiers? To want a big house like some else has? To be the who thinks they know all they need to know about God?
So many things we want, but all God wants is you, just you the way you are. He can change you, he can give you gifts, but they are the gifts that YOU can do to bless the Father. So call on him, and let him show you who he wants you to be and not what you want to be. Then you will find true happiness in yourself and who you are.
Prayer:
Lord forgive me for the times I know I have wanted what others have. You give me what I need each and everyday. You formed me with your hand in my mothers womb. Forgive me Father for not being happy with myself and my looks at times. In your eyes Im beautiful . Help me Father to be more like you. To have that hunger that wants to be only like you and only. Help me to be happy with me, and who you made me to be.
I pray in Jesus name
Amen

Tuesday Toot

This is hard thing to toot your own horn, but I think we as women, wife's, and moms sometimes we find it hard to give ourselves credit for much. My toot this week would be that I'm trying to spend more time in my word, having more time in prayer. A goal in life is to be a woman of God. A woman that my husband and kids can be proud of and most a woman that God is proud of. Everyday life can take it tole on us, and forgetting that time for our selfs. I'm making it a point to give myself that time I need for me to draw closer to the Heavenly Father.
So ladies take time for yourself and enjoy life. Pat yourself on your back and give credit and praise were it is well deserved
